Chicken Switch Model CS-02 (Deep Frame for lighted escutcheon plate)

Model CS-02 is very similar to the CS-01 but is designed for the Electroswitch Series 24P control switch. This control switch has a eschutcheon plates that is lighted.

These type of plates are thicker in depth and require a deeper frame design. The CS-02 has also been referred to as the "Deep Frame" model.

The standard CS-02 ships with the Chicken Switch actuator, the hand-held controller, 30-foot cable, carrying case, instruction manual, and 16 AA batteries.

Magnet Options:

The advantage of the rectangular magnets is that they reduce the total width of the actuator from 5-7/8” to 4-1/2”. In most cases the circular magnets easily clear nameplates and other lights and switches on the switchgear. However, in those cases where space is limited, the rectangular magnet option may provide the necessary additional clearance.

Cable Options

Some applications may require a greater distance based on the results of the customer’s arc-flash study. Should the arc-flash distance be greater than 30-feet, we offer a 50-foot cable option.

Note: It is the customer’s responsibility to assure that an accurate arc-flash study of the customer’s electrical system has been performed and the customer must determine the length of cable necessary to protect the personnel operating the control switch.

Carrying Case

Some customers are interested in a more compact and rugged carrying case that can be used to store the Chicken Switch in areas that are less favorable such as on a utility truck. For those customers, we now offer an injection molded heavy duty case manufactured by Pelican. It is gasketed, slightly smaller in size, and bright yellow so that it is easier to see when out on the job.
